Trader Joes Pumpkin Muffins with 1/2 Applesauce

I tried out the new Trader Joes Pumpkin Muffins and they were definitely worth the buy. They are easy to make and taste delicious. I followed the recipe on the box with the exception of 1/2 cup oil. I used 1/4 cup applesauce and 1/4 cup canola oil. The results were fabulous. You would NEVER know they were lower in fat and made with applesauce. The muffins were super moist and very flavorful. I’m all about homemade, but if you need something quick this fall, give these a try.

I’m definitely going to be replacing a lot of fat in my baked goods with 1/2 applesauce 1/2 fat from now on. Thanks to Mary-Ellen for the tip:)
