“Gus” Burger

Inspired by The White Spot’s Gus Burger in Charlotteville, VA, Jeff and I re-created our own version. The results were DELICIOUS. We were again reminded that homemade burgers are just as good as getting them out, EVEN BETTER!

1 fried egg, runny
1/4 lb. ground beef, seasoned with salt and better, cooked on the flat side
1 slice cheddar or american cheese
lettuce and tomato
2 sliced bacon, fried, not too crispy
bun (the regular white wonder bread bun)

Make the meat and assemble the burger with the toppings listed above. I’m not going to go into detail about making a burger…your know the drill. Enjoy!

  1. I love burgers. I rarely make them at home, so when I do, I don’t mind being decadent: add some diced cold butter to the center of the patties. It makes them extra moist and tasty.
