Christmas Chex Mix

I’m pretty devoted to making non-family members food gifts. Its homemade, a work of love, and something you will actually use, baring food allergies, etc… I like this recipe because it make a lot, its pretty, and doesn’t seem as unhealthy as dozens of cookies.

Ingredients
14 oz. package white chocolate chips
5 cups cherrios
5 cups honey nut chex
4 cups pretzels sticks, broken in half
2 cups peanuts, or peacans
2 regular size bags m&m’s
2 cups granola
1 T. canola oil

Directions
In a small glass bowl, pour chips and oil. Place over a small about of boiling water and stir until melted and creamy. Microwaving the chips would work to; I don’t use a microwave (my kitchen is too small). Meanwhile, combine the remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Stir in white chocolate mixture. Pour the whole mixture onto wax paper to dry and clump together. Store in an airtight container or ziplocs:) It lasts a long time…until ingredients go stale.

Optional: pour powdered sugar into bowl after the white choclate. This adds sweetness but it doesn’t allow the mix to clump together. I do a little bit of both and combine the batches.
