Brie with Apples and Pears

My friend, Sarah, gave me this pottery brie dish for my birthday…Perfect Gift for me:)
I’ve used it twice this fall and have made the brie two different ways. Everyone loves it!

Option #1

Whole circle of brie
1 1/2 T. butter
1 cup walnuts
1 t. cinnamon
2 T. brown sugar

Cut the rind of the top of the brie so that the cheese is exposed. Place brie into a small casserole dish. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients and heat until butter is melted and ingredients are mixed together (you can simply do this in a microwave, too). Place the butter mixture over the brie and bake for 20-30 minutes. Serve warm with apples, pears and crackers.

Option #2

1/4 cup honey
1 cup almonds

Prepare oven and brie like above. This time, top with honey, then almonds and bake.
